Mission Statement:
The Angry Fish Rowing Club is dedicated to providing Youth and Adult rowing
opportunities, in a team oriented environment. We teach rowing in 4 and 8
person boats.
Why are we called Angry Fish?
Oh, we bet your wondering why "Angry Fish". Truth be told, we're an easy
going bunch. It's the fish in the river that aren't. One morning one of
them jumped out of the river and nearly landed in one of our boats.
Someone commented on the fact that it "must have been angry..." The details
on how that became Angry Fish Rowing Club are a bit blurry. It's pretty
catchy though. Say it 5 times really fast and you'll see.
Is Rowing for me?
Everyone can learn to row! There are only two requirements: (1) All members pass a brief swim test and (2) Members must adhere to club policies.
Learning to Row is perfect for those who seek challenge and physical activity.
Why should I row?
Rowing is one of the few sports you can learn at any age. Our Youth Programs start
at the seventh grade. Adult Programs are open to all adults. You will get in
the best shape of your life while making lots of new friends.
